Catrin Ingham

Catrin Ingham has enjoyed living in the local area for the past 19 years . She is married with two children, both in secondary education. She is a postgraduate of the University of Sussex, where she obtained a B.A Hons in International Relations and a M.A in Rural Development.
Catrin has a keen interest in social and cultural issues. Whilst working for an international airline, Catrin also spent her days off employed as a visiting teacher for the Development charity ActionAid. This involved visiting regional schools and colleges to raise awareness of issues such as poverty, healthcare and aspects of community living both here in the UK and in developing countries. After a number of years, Catrin moved to work for Surrey Social Services as part of their Children’s Asylum Support Team, responsible for the welfare and protection of minors throughout the County. Catrin is currently a member of Gatwick Detainees Welfare Group and is on the board of Trustees for AVID, an organisation representing visitor groups for detainees.
Catrin has a real interest in making East Grinstead a thriving town in which to live for people of all ages. She is keen to protect essential local services and to giving residents more of a voice in how the town is run.
