East Grinstead Liberal Demcrats are launching their Town Council Election Manifesto today with a pledge to fight for a return of powers back to the Town from MSDC and policies to continue a Council Tax freeze and promote a transformed Town Centre.

 

Town Council Leader James Baldwin says ' East Grinstead Liberal Democrats are offering a radical and distinctive approach. We believe that local people know best and that decisions on issues such as parking and development should be taken locally and not in Haywards Heath. We have the track record and experience to continue delivering for the Town and offer a detailed policy programme that is financially sound, Green and progressive. 

 

He went on 'We believe local people know best. So we want real powers returned to the Town to enable it to shape its own future and make everyone proud to be part of it.  With more local control, we can deliver cheaper and better parking, improved services, more facilities for young and old and a transformed Town Centre.’
